Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Aadhil RF (“Developer”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the WinLLM Windows application (“App”). The App is an AI chat client. It connects to third-party AI services that you configure, stores your conversations on your device, and does not operate its own servers.

Please read this policy carefully before using the App.

1. Summary

• The App does not send your data to us. We do not operate any servers and have no access to your conversations, files, or settings.
• The App contains no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising.
• Your conversations, projects, documents, and preferences are stored locally on your device and never leave it unless you explicitly send them to an AI provider.
• API keys and credentials you enter are stored on your device and are transmitted only to the services they belong to.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following data locally, in the App’s data folder on your computer:

• Chat conversations and message history
• Project files and content you add to projects, including indexed document text used for search and retrieval features
• App settings and preferences (theme, layout, model selection, and similar)
• API keys and credentials for the AI providers and MCP servers you configure

This data remains on your device. It is not backed up, synced, or made available to us by the App. Processing of documents you add (such as PDF text extraction and optical character recognition) is performed locally on your device.

3. Information sent to third-party services

The App itself does not include any cloud service operated by us. However, when you use the App, your prompts, message content, and any attached material are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you have configured (for example OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Amazon Bedrock, or any custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint). Your API key for that provider is sent to it as well, for authentication.

These third-party providers receive and process your content under their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:

If you configure Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, the App will connect to those servers and may share relevant request data with them. MCP servers are chosen and configured entirely by you, and their handling of your data is governed by their own policies.

We have no visibility into or control over data once it reaches a third-party provider or MCP server.

4. Information we collect

We do not collect, receive, store, or process any personal data through the App. The App includes no telemetry, no usage analytics, no crash reporting, no error reporting, and no advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not require an account, and the App does not ask for your name, email address, or any identifying information.

If you purchase the App or in-app items through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft processes that transaction. Microsoft’s own privacy statement applies to Store purchases: privacy.microsoft.com.

5. Permissions

The App may request access to files and folders that you explicitly open or add, and may use Windows speech capabilities for voice features. These are used only to provide the feature you invoked and only for content you choose.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because all your data is stored locally on your device:

• You can delete individual conversations, projects, and documents at any time from within the App.
• You can remove stored API keys at any time from the App’s settings.
• Uninstalling the App removes the App itself. To ensure all data is removed, delete the App’s data folder at %LOCALAPPDATA%\FluentChat

7. Data security

Your data stays on your device under the protection of your Windows user account. We recommend keeping your device secured and being mindful that API keys entered into the App are stored on the device. Do not use a shared or untrusted device for provider credentials you consider sensitive.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data held by us for you to access, correct, export, or delete. Your data is yours and remains under your control on your device, as described in Section 6.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be published with the App, and the “Effective Date” above will be revised. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
